Good luck to the Australian team!

As the URAC SportsHub is being used for another event for Wednesday 16th and Wednesday 23rd June, there won’t be any floorball on for these weeks.
But don’t worry, we’ll be back on the 30th, so we’ll see you then!
If you have any questions about this, send us an email to info@gongfloorball.com.
Since its simple origins evolving from the Wiffle Ball, ball used in floorball hasn’t evolved very much. Recently, dimples have been added for aerodynamics, but little has been done to jazz up the balls themselves.
It’s time for a change. I built a crude 3D model and dressed it up. Here’s what I came up with.
#1: Plastic moulding has come far enough to ensure that a little bit of mixed colour would work, and would instantly give a level of uniqueness to each ball. Gone would be the days of mixing up your balls with those of everyone else.
#2: Duo-tone’s in fashion, time for some Aussie Green and Gold!
#3: Something for the ladies!

Both Wollongong floorball teams (Wollongong FC and Wollongong Scorpions) are planning to bring a team to the upcoming Northern Beaches Open, on 9th-10th October 2010. If you’d like to be part of a fun high-paced floorball tournament, come along to our social games on Wednesday nights and you may be able to join one of the teams intending to compete.

It’s a different sport, but this Nike ad was pretty spectacular so I thought it was worth a share.
The world’s fastest growing sport is in Wollongong!
