Australian Floorball National Team Training and Try-outs

On the weekend just passed (24th-25th of July) the try-outs for the Australian Under 19’s and Australian Men’s Floorball teams were held in Newcastle. A number of highly skilled players from along the east coast travelled to the venue in order to try-out for the national side and to help improve their skills of the game. Attending these try-outs were a number of players from both Wollongong teams. Over the two days individual and team skills were put to the test as they players tried their hardest to make the teams. Overall the weekend was very beneficial for all who could attend and the skill level of the players was outstanding. It was good to see so many of Australia’s skilled players all in one place, and with many young players trying out, the future for floorball in Australia looks very promising. The results of the try-outs will still not be known for some time to come.
