Gong Floorball player featured in WFC 2010 promo video!

A short video was recently released as part of the promotions for the upcoming World Championships in Finland. The video shows some footage from the last time the World Championships were held in Finland in 2002. One piece of footage shows the Australian national team of that time warming up for a match. Current player for the Gong Scorpions, Alan Clay, was part of the national team at that time and can be seen warming up with rest of the team. To see Alan simply freeze the video below at 0:24 and look at the left-hand side of the shot behind the the player in the front row.

As mentioned, the video is part of the promotions for the upcoming World Championships which is set to be one of the most exciting World Championships the Floorball community has ever witnessed. Finland won their first World Championship two years ago in the Czech Republic after Sweden had won every title since the first World Championships in 1996. Sweden has been eager to regain the title but this may prove a difficult task to accomplish as Finland defeated Sweden with a score of 9 - 2 in the friendly match that was held as part of the EuroFloorball Tour last weekend. More results from the EuroFloorball Tour can be seen on the IFF website.
